When I say about BENAK, many of my friend did not know what is BENAK about. Than I  start realized that not all people know about the BENAK.
BENAK festival is one of the festival that have be support by Sarawak Tourism to become one of the festival that can be an attraction for Sarawak.
 I want to shear my first experience when attending the BENAK festival for the first time. My first time go to BENAK festival is at 2007. At that time the only thing that I know about BENAK is the tourist and surfer will come  to experience the water sport at BATANG RAJANG river. Every year there are many tourist from other country will come to see the  uniqueness of the festival.
I always say about uniqueness of the festival but did not mention what kind you will experience at that festival.
Now I will tall you about the uniqueness about the festival that I also shocked when I experience it.
The first  thing that make me really shocked  is the people that come to the festival. I did not expect that the small place that did not have many population can be that crowded during the festival. I also wonder where have all people have hide before the festival. All the road  are full of people that come from the other place only for the festival.
Other than I also see there are many people build the small cottage at the banks of the river. I also wonder why do there build the cottage at the banks of the river other than stat at the hotel. The answer that I get for the question is that is the way that they will not miss any of the part when the BENAK comes. BENAK is when the river generating enormous waves to a river. Some think that I think that cottage was different from other cottage is the cottage was build from the wood, rope for binding the wood and big plastic fabric for the roof.
During festival there also have many kind of handicraft from many ethnic at Sarawak. There are sell many of traditional custom that very hard to find. Other that BENAK festival also one of the place that also know as food paradise. that is where you can try many type of food. I enjoy the festival and learned  a little bit of the history of the festival. 
The festival was about to end the festival after a three day.The festival give me an experience many kind of diffidence knowledge that only I can experience at the festival only. Every year there were many diffidence about the festival.
