“A Ball Bounces My Life”
The opening maybe
twisting your mind but that is how my story begins.
Few years back , in
year 2011. That moment when I was in form 4. I felt down since I cannot go to
any other extreme sport anymore after the Doctor was verified I suffered a
disease called eczema and anaemia. The desire to play basketball was very strong
even much more stronger than the desire
to study other important courses in the school. The strong desire leads me to
find someone who can teach me more about it and can be more expert about it. I love
sports so much and basketball is one of them.
I looked around, that
was very sad story when I do not have any friends who loves to play
basketball . (Face down)
There is a school
nearby my school who entitled as the best school in my town. It was SM Chung
Hwa,Tenom. The school was very famous with the reputation of the school who produces many successful
students with good results . I did not say that my school is not good. But I
feel like so lonely, I cannot find even a friend who can reads my mind. I love
basketball so much.
One fine Saturday,
right after I finished my tuition class I managed to play some basketball at
the court nearby the tuition center . Suddenly, I heard a sound that pushed my
head turning to the back. I saw a guy, he was perfectly ready with his sports
attire and brought along his basketball. He started a conversation with me.
Like his first words was, “It is looked like you need a company and I can be
the one” He was very gentleman and friendly. So I replied “ well yeah, I need a
partner . In the other words I need someone who can teach me how to play
basketball more better. I want to put myself into the field ” Luckily, he is
one of the best basketball player in the previous school that I have mentioned
just now.
That was the first met.
I guess ……
We exchanged our
contact numbers so that we can find each other and set the date to do training
easily. As I wished, I need a company and that was not for a short term ,I want
a partner who can motivate me and pull me up to be more successful .I am a full
fledge lady who has so many dreams and in the way to chase all of them.
Basketball was like my
daily routine. I just cannot escape myself to make practice even once in a
week. It is a must for me . We played basketball together, he taught me how to
play basketball starting from the basic until the hardest part of it. We were
like bestfriends.
Summer to autumn, our
relationship was getting more closer. Not only about basketball or sports,but
also we have talked about our lessons in the school,our dreams and what we want
to achieve in the future. If we are not going for training , we will go to the
state library to study and discuss about the course that we do not understand.
We exchanged so much ideas and that what makes us feel so comfortable toward
each other. He helped me a lot,not only in the term of education but also
financial . He never felt tired to get attached with me even until now.
I was very happy that
the time we have invested together had been paid off when my team and I won the
game (Tenom Basketball Open 2012) . I could not imagine that this would happen to me. I was finally a basketball
player who created my name into the field of sports. The guy that I have
mention just now is still my bestfriend . We still keep in touch and still do
the hobbies like we always do whenever I get back to my hometown.
That was I always
heard, sometimes we feel so hopeless and despondent. But we just do not know
when is the time for our happiness. That guy, is like the serendipity that was
happened to me. God sent him to me and he changed my point of view and stay
strong also he taught me that life cannot never be easy. If we want to achieve
something, we have to work hard and ignore the small
negative thing that can kills our minds easily.
My life has changed since the first time I met him. He made me realize that nothing is impossible in this world and never give up.
